Selected - Single Vineyard
Varietal composition: 70% Xinomavro, 30% Negoska
Location: Viticultural Zone of Goumenissa
Vineyard: Own vineyards of approximately 30 acres, at an altitude of 250 m. Soil: Clay-sandy. Harvest: End of September to mid-October. Microclimate: Rainy winters, dry and hot summers
Vinification: This wine comes from the family's first linear vineyard planted in 1978. The production is extremely low (600 kg/hectare) and is followed by a long extraction of at least 20 days. The wine is then aged in new French oak barrels for at least 18 months followed by a reduction aging of at least 6 months.
Organoleptic characteristics: Alcohol 14, % vol. Rich and concentrated aromas of red fruits in harmony with freshness and soft tannins that give a long aftertaste. Deep in colour, with plenty of red fruit, tight structure and ripe tannins. It can be aged for at least 5-10 years
