ORIGIN: Mesenikolas Karditsa
VARIETY: Chardonnay (Oak)
TYPE: Dry White Wine Aged
CATEGORY: Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Karditsa
COLOR & AROMA: Its bright golden yellow color captivates you at first glance while the refined aromas of banana, pear and other yellow fruits passionately "flirt" with the nose and conquer it.
AGEING: The passage through French oak barrels for one year (12 months) enhances its already intense profile and structure and gives it distinctive aromas of butter, hazelnut and notes of honey.
CHARACTERISTICS The famous Chardonnay, from the French terroir of Chablis in the fertile soils of the semi-mountainous vineyards of Mesenikolas, above the cool embrace of Lake Plastiras, has acquired - thanks to its adaptability - a superior and even more complex character. Winemaker Giorgos Karamitros ideally uses the Batonnage method, and by adding his own Art of wine, delivers a particularly aromatic Chardonnay, with a full "nose" of delicate aromas of green apple, lime and unripe white-fleshed peach. A wine that has a delicate, refined taste while at the same time being distinguished by its rich flavor and fruity complexity.
AGES: Leave it in your cellar for up to 10 years
TASTING SUGGESTIONS: It accompanies discreet fish, white meats and pasta.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: Serve at 14 -16 °C.
