Dry White
Varietal Composition: The wine is a meticulously designed blend of three gifted varieties, each contributing distinct elements to the final result:
• Gewürztraminer: Bestows the intense exotic and floral aromatic character.
• Chardonnay: Offers structure, oiliness, volume on the palate, and aging potential.
• Sauvignon Blanc: Delivers crisp acidity, freshness, and vibrant green aromas.
Vineyard: The grapes originate from the estate's privately owned vineyards in the Meteora region (PGI Meteora), at an altitude that favors the retention of acidity and the slow, high-quality ripening of the grapes.
Vinification: Separate vinification: Each variety is harvested and vinified separately to bring out its optimal characteristics. Aging on the lees (Bâttonage): After the blend is created, the wine ages in stainless steel tanks for 4 months along with its fine lees. Periodic stirring (bâttonage) imparts a creamy texture, complexity, and full body to the wine, without the presence of wood (oak).
Tasting Notes: Bright, pale lemon-green color with vivid greenish highlights that showcase its freshness. Nose: Intense, complex, and highly captivating. Dominated by ripe exotic fruits (mango, pineapple, lychee) and stone fruits (peach, nectarine), combined with hints of white flowers (rose, jasmine) and subtle notes of citrus and herbs. • Palate: Full, rich, and oily body, which is perfectly balanced by a high, crisp acidity. The aromatic profile of the nose repeats on the palate, with an emphasis on grapefruit and mandarin. The finish is long, intense, and leaves a delightful sensation of freshness.
Due to its rich body and high acidity, it is an exceptionally versatile wine for the table:
• Asian Cuisine: Ideal for sushi, sashimi, and spicy Thai or Indian dishes (curry), as the acidity and aromatic profile of the Gewürztraminer cut through the capsaicin.
• Seafood & Fish: Pairs excellently with fatty fish (salmon, shi drum) grilled over charcoal, as well as shellfish (crayfish, lobster).
• White Meats & Pasta: Beautifully accompanies chicken or pork served with white, light creamy sauces, as well as seafood or vegetable risottos.
