Varietal composition: Agiorgitiko
Tasting characteristics: A Nemea that manages to give with immediacy, freshness and intensity the entire character of Agiorgitiko. Without resorting to large extractions or excessively high percentages of new barrel, it is a wine with wonderful complexity and personality. Fermented and extracted in stainless steel tanks, aged in second-use French barriques for 12 months and for two months in the bottle. The color is bright, deep crimson. On the nose, aromas of blackberry, black raspberry and ripe strawberry unfold, with a touch of anise and spices, such as cloves and cinnamon. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with elegant structure, balanced acidity and very ripe, round tannins. The aftertaste is medium-long, dominated by red fruits followed by aromas of sweet vanilla and black pepper. Serve at 18°C and accompany red meats and sweet mature cheeses. Can be aged for four years from the vintage.
