With a label inspired by the psychedelic rock posters of the 1960s, Zinfandelic captures the spirit of Zinfandel, California’s quintessential wine. The vineyards are located in Lodi, the self-proclaimed “Zinfandel Capital of the World.” Our 2018 Lodi is elegant with flavors of dark raspberry fruit.
The distinctive characteristics of the region are reflected in our 2018 Lodi Zinfandel. Bold in color, our 2018 Lodi Zinfandel has an elegant mouthfeel with flavors of dark raspberry fruit underlined by notes of spice and mocha. A bright, medium bodied wine with a soft, balanced finish.
Located east of the San Francisco Bay, at the edge of the Sacramento River Delta, Lodi is home to some of the oldest Zinfandel vineyards in the state. A dry growing season featuring warm days and cool evening breezes o er ideal growing conditions that lead to full-flavored wines. Vineyards are planted in either fine sandy loam soils at lower elevations, or clay-based and stony soils at higher elevations. These well-draining soils produce well-structured wines with intense fruit flavors and rich silky texture. Zinfandel has always been the quintessential California wine. Taking on the characteristics of the regions where it’s grown, the flavor of a California Zin is like the flavor of California itself. It’s free love in a bottle, with a vibe all its own - at times mellow, others bold or even spicy. But it’s always, dare we say, groovy.
