Dry Mavrodafni variety
Organic Mavrodafni "Monabeles" by Evryviadis Sklavos belongs to its own separate class. Muscular and strong, -as it could otherwise with 300kg / acre yield- it is at the same time absolutely likeable and inevitably attractive. Strength and concentration are not violently attacked in the mouth but are built gradually, leaving the elegance to emerge next to the high frequency vibrations and tensions. It is perhaps the most emblematic wine of Evriviadis, the first attempt to produce a dry Mavrodafni in Greece in 1996. It comes from pre-drying vineyards in Monabeles and Kechrionas, aged 80, and is produced with faith in the philosophy of biodynamic cultivation and natural vinification. The absolute way of Evriviadis to transform a shocking terroir into a great wine. Trophy 2019.
