Red Dry Wine
Varietal Composition: 100% Augustine.
Vineyards: From autochthonous vines of the lowland and mountainous Zakynthos vineyards.
Winemaking: The harvest begins during the first ten days of September. After pressing, the marc and must are taken to the winemaker where the extraction of pigments begins with the start of alcoholic fermentation. The temperature is maintained at 20-25ºC. When the color intensity and flavor balance reach the desired levels, the marc is removed.
Characteristics: A wine with a deep ruby red color and a complex aromatic bouquet. It presents notes of ripe red fruits, cherries, blackberries and dried plums framed by spices, such as pepper and cinnamon. It has velvety tannins, rich body and balanced acidity.
Alcoholic Title: 13.5%
It is an ideal accompaniment to Mediterranean dishes containing meat and rich sauces. It goes well with varieties of cheeses and cold cuts with an intense flavor.
